Vegas is getting a new way to spend a group night that has nothing to do with a stage, a dealer, or a slot machine. Activate — the fast-growing live-action gaming brand with more than 75 locations worldwide — opens its first Nevada outpost on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Town Square, adding a genuinely different option to the city's group-entertainment scene.
Inside, more than 55 games are spread across 15 individual arenas — tech-driven takes on games you already half-know, like Hoops and Laser, alongside puzzle-and-strategy formats including the brand's fan-favorite Mega Grid and a newer one called Hide and Press. Every game runs on the same idea: quick to learn, genuinely hard to beat, and built around a group working together against the room rather than one player chasing a personal high score.
Laser and Mega Grid, two of Activate's best-known formats, both make the trip to Town Square.
The brand's leadership is framing the Las Vegas debut as a deliberate alternative, not just another attraction:
"Activate was built for group fun and friendly rivalry – exactly what Vegas' visitors and corporate groups are looking for. Whether it's a bachelor party, a team visiting town for a convention or friends seeking an active alternative to slot machines and gambling, Activate offers an interactive venue designed specifically for team bonding and friendly competition. We can't wait to see how the Vegas community competes."
— Jason Thompson, Activate America COOOpening Weekend Perks
The first 100 guests in line on opening day get a real reason to show up early: half off a reserved play spot, a limited-edition Activate wristband good for free weekly gameplay for 30 days (with purchase), and a premium swag bag.
Puzzle-and-strategy rooms mix in with the physical games — no two arenas play quite the same.
"Vegas visitors always ask me what to do that isn't another show, another buffet, or another slot machine. Activate landing at Town Square gives me a real answer — I can see this being the move for a bachelor party before dinner, or a corporate group that actually wants to talk to each other instead of sitting through another team-building slideshow."

The Bigger Picture
Las Vegas becomes Activate's more-than-40th U.S. location and part of a footprint that spans 75+ venues worldwide. The brand built its reputation on short, high-intensity rounds that reward quick thinking and communication over raw athleticism, and sessions are designed to mix skill levels — a first-timer and a competitive regular can land in the same arena without either one getting bored.
