Las Vegas had one of those stretches where the entertainment calendar changed faster than most people could keep up with it. In a matter of days, Sphere got a new headliner, two existing Vegas runs expanded, multiple comedians added 2027 dates and Fontainebleau put two more rock shows on the board.
Here’s the useful version of what changed.
John Mayer is getting six nights at Sphere
John Mayer will headline Sphere on April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18, 2027. The production is built around three different versions of Mayer in the same night: solo, full band and the John Mayer Trio with Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino.

That makes this more interesting than simply putting Mayer’s catalog in front of Sphere’s screen. The format is the point — one show moving through different parts of his career and different ways he performs.
LISA sold out four. Caesars added two more.
The original four performances of VIVA LA LISA at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace sold out in under 10 minutes. Two more shows have now been added on November 12 and November 29, 2026.
That brings the full run to November 12, 13, 14, 27, 28 and 29. Caesars is billing LISA as the first K-pop artist with a Las Vegas residency, and the two added dates go on sale September 30.

Santana and House of Blues are still not done
An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live has added 16 performances at House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay for 2027. The residency is entering its 14th year in the room.
At this point, Santana at House of Blues is less a comeback story than confirmation that one of the Strip’s longest-running music relationships is staying intact.

“The part that jumps out to me isn’t one huge announcement. It’s how much of 2027 is already being sold while we’re still in September 2026. Vegas is leaning harder into limited runs, repeat comedy dates and shows big enough to build a trip around — and that makes the calendar a lot more interesting.”

Vegas comedy just got considerably busier
Nikki Glaser and David Spade are back at Caesars
Nikki Glaser and David Spade have added four 2027 dates to their residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace: January 22 and 23, plus April 16 and 17. All four shows are scheduled for 8 p.m., with public ticket sales beginning October 2 at 10 a.m. PT.

Daniel Tosh added four more Vegas dates
Daniel Tosh will return to The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan throughout 2027. The newly listed dates are February 12, April 24, September 25 and November 6, all at 8 p.m.
It’s not really a traditional residency setup. Four dates spread across the year makes more sense for a touring comedian than pretending every repeat Vegas booking needs the residency label.
Tom Segura brings Preposterous to the Pearl
Tom Segura’s Preposterous tour stops at the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort on January 30, 2027 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale October 2.
That’s currently a single Vegas stop rather than a residency, but it adds another major comedy name to an already busy 2027 calendar.
A Perfect Circle booked two nights at Fontainebleau
A Perfect Circle will play BleauLive Theater at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on June 10 and 11, 2027, with The Cult opening both nights.
Both shows begin at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale October 1 at 10 a.m.
The bigger story is how early 2027 is filling up
The interesting part isn’t any one announcement. It’s how much of next year’s Vegas entertainment calendar is already taking shape before September 2026 is even over.
Sphere keeps creating limited runs that don’t fit the old Vegas-residency mold. Caesars is mixing major music bookings with recurring comedy. House of Blues still has Santana. Fontainebleau continues feeding touring acts into BleauLive. The Chelsea and the Pearl can grab big comedians for one night or a few nights without pretending they need to live in town for six months.
For visitors, the old advice still applies: don’t assume the Vegas calendar you looked at six months ago is the Vegas calendar you’re going to get.
Around here, it changes fast.
Reporting checked against current official announcements from Sphere, Caesars Entertainment, Santana, The Cosmopolitan, Palms and Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Dates and ticket-sale details can change.
