Sphere has already proven it can reinvent the concert. Oprah Winfrey wants to see what happens when you take the concert out of the equation entirely.
Oprah Winfrey’s AHA arrives at Sphere April 2–4, 2027 for four performances. It’s being described as an immersive live experience combining music, film, sensory effects and live performers — with Winfrey using the room’s technology to build something around awe, connection and the kind of personal realization that gave the project its name.
The idea traces back to U2’s opening night at Sphere in 2023. Winfrey was there, saw what the building could do, and started thinking about whether the same technology could be used for something built around personal reflection rather than a traditional concert.

AHA is currently scheduled for April 2, 3 and 4. Winfrey has said more dates are possible if the concept works.
What actually happens during AHA?
The announced creative team gives you a better idea of what this is than trying to squeeze it into a normal Vegas-show category. Grammy winner Jacob Collier, poet and author Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet and gospel singer Wintley Phipps are among the announced performers.
The wider creative group includes composer Max Richter, musicians Jason White and Jon Hopkins, playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney and stage designer Es Devlin. The production is expected to use Sphere’s enormous screen, spatial audio and sensory capabilities as part of the experience rather than simply as a backdrop.

It’s also another test of what Sphere can become
That may be the most interesting Vegas part of this announcement. Sphere’s identity is still being written. Residencies have shown what it can do for artists. Its film experiences have shown it can operate as an attraction. AHA is another experiment: can the room support a live format that isn’t really a concert, keynote or conventional stage show?
