What is Tape Face?
Tape Face is a 75-minute wordless comedy show at MGM Grand built from physical performance, props, music and facial expression. Because the character does not rely on spoken dialogue, the jokes have to land visually rather than through stand-up setups or storytelling.
The result feels part mime, part prop comedy and part absurd variety act. Simple objects can become the entire premise of a bit, and the silence gives the show its strange personality. It is a very different comedy experience from a microphone-and-stool club set.
