Then you already know. There's a reason it's been running since 2011 and still sells out night after night. Bring someone who hasn't seen it yet — watching a first-timer experience Absinthe is its own reward. Sit closer this time if you weren't in the front ring before.

Absinthe is the most acclaimed live show in Las Vegas — and one of the most acclaimed in the world. In a custom circular tent on the Roman Plaza at Caesars Palace, world-class circus performers do things in front of 571 people that most acrobats only attempt in full arenas. The show runs 70 minutes with no intermission and no filler. The host — a character called the Gazillionaire — provides dark, sharp adult comedy between acts. This is not a family show. It's the real one.

About Absinthe

Absinthe is a Spiegelworld production that has been running at the Spiegeltent on Caesars Palace's Roman Plaza since 2011 — making it one of the longest-running live shows in Las Vegas history. In that time it has built a reputation as the most acclaimed live entertainment experience on the Strip: TripAdvisor's top-rated Las Vegas show for over a decade, the show HuffPost famously declared "If you only see one show, make it Absinthe."

The format is deliberate and intimate. The Spiegeltent is a custom circular tent holding approximately 571 people, with a center stage and seating all the way around it. No seat is more than 12 rows from the action. World-class circus performers — aerialists, acrobats, strength artists, roller skate acts — perform genuine feats of athleticism at distances that would not be possible in a large theater. The Gazillionaire, the show's host and ringleader, connects every act with sharp adult humor that earns the show's 18+ classification. This is not a circus for families.

🌵
🌵 Spike's Pick — Vegas Sidekick Recommends This is the one. Absinthe has been running since 2011 and it still sells out. If you're only seeing one show on this trip, Spike says make it Absinthe. The tent is intimate enough that you feel the wind when an aerialist swings overhead. The performers are world-class. The humor is sharp. Nothing else on the Strip does what this show does.

The Spiegeltent itself is part of the experience — a custom-built structure with an old-world European feel that sets Absinthe apart from every hotel showroom on the Strip. The circular seating means you're watching the same stage from all angles, and performers use the full 360-degree space. The show runs 70 minutes with no intermission and a pace that rarely lets up. No cameras, no recording — this is one you have to be present for.

What to Expect

🤸 World-Class Circus Acts
Absinthe features genuinely elite performers — aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, roller skate artists, and strength acts drawn from world-class competitive backgrounds. These aren't theatrical performers doing circus-adjacent moves. They're athletes performing at the edge of what's physically possible, at distances you'd never see in a full arena. At 12 rows maximum, you will feel every act.
🎭 Sharp, Unfiltered Adult Comedy
The Gazillionaire — the show's flamboyant and spectacularly dressed host — delivers the kind of dark, raunchy adult humor that earns Absinthe its 18+ classification. The comedy is sharp, intentional, and earns big laughs. It also isn't for everyone, which is exactly why the show works: it commits completely. Don't bring guests who bruise easily.
🎪 An Intimate Circular Tent
The Spiegeltent is a custom structure built specifically for this show — not a hotel showroom, not a retrofitted theater. The circular design puts every seat close to the action. Performers use the full 360 degrees of the stage, which means something is happening near you throughout the show. The tent itself has an old-world European aesthetic that sets the tone from the moment you walk in.
🏆 Las Vegas' Most Acclaimed Show
Absinthe has been TripAdvisor's top-rated Las Vegas show for over a decade. It's been running since 2011 — longer than most shows that tried to follow it. The acclaim isn't hype: this is a show that has earned every review through consistent performance quality and a format that doesn't have a weak spot. The combination of real athleticism and genuine comedy in an intimate setting is something Vegas rarely manages to produce.

The innermost ring of the Spiegeltent — just a few feet from the center stage. You're close enough to hear the performers breathe. In a theater-in-the-round this intimate, every moment lands differently when you're this close. Aerial acts swing overhead, acrobats land within arm's reach of the front row. If you want maximum proximity to genuinely world-class performers, this is the section.
The second concentric ring from the stage — still extremely close by any normal theater standard. You get the full view of the stage with slightly more sightline range than the front ring. Many guests prefer this distance because you can take in the whole act without craning your neck. Still very intimate — performers are visibly close.
The mid-house ring — comfortable center-of-the-tent territory. In the Spiegeltent's compact circular design, "mid-house" would be front-section at almost any conventional Las Vegas showroom. You get the full panoramic view of the stage, excellent sightlines to aerial acts above, and a perspective that lets you watch the Gazillionaire work the room. A strong seat by any measure.
The outermost ring of the Spiegeltent — the furthest seats in the house. In most venues, back-of-house means distance and compromised sightlines. In the Spiegeltent, the furthest seat is 12 rows from the stage. That's closer than front-of-house at most Strip showrooms. This is still a genuinely good seat. The circular format means you're watching a show designed to be seen from all angles, and the gallery delivers that wide-angle perspective beautifully.

Frequently Asked

Absinthe is a circular tent show featuring world-class circus acts — aerialists, acrobats, roller skate artists, contortionists, and strength performers — hosted by a character called the Gazillionaire. The Gazillionaire delivers sharp adult comedy between acts, earning the show its 18+ classification. It's not a traditional circus and it's not a comedy club: it's something uniquely its own, which is why it has been the most acclaimed show in Las Vegas for over a decade.
Very strictly. Everyone entering the Spiegeltent must be at least 18 years old and must have a ticket — no exceptions. Bring a valid government-issued ID. Guests who appear under 30 should expect to show ID at the door. Do not purchase tickets for a group that includes anyone under 18 — they will not be admitted, and tickets are non-refundable.
The Spiegeltent is located on the Roman Plaza at Caesars Palace — the outdoor plaza area between the main Caesars Palace entrance and the Las Vegas Strip. It's a distinctive circular tent structure that's hard to miss once you're on the plaza. Approach from the Strip-facing side of Caesars Palace. Give yourself 20–30 minutes before showtime to park, navigate the resort, and find the tent.
Cameras and audio/video recording devices are not permitted during the performance. This is one of Spike's firmest recommendations: put the phone away for these 70 minutes. The acts in Absinthe are the kind that lose something when you're watching through a screen. You won't want the footage later as much as you'll want the memory of actually being there. This is a show designed to be witnessed in person.
No official dress code. Absinthe draws a mix of guests in everything from casual vacation wear to dressed-up date-night attire. The show itself has an elevated, theatrical feel that makes people want to dress for the occasion — but you won't be turned away in jeans. Comfortable footwear is practical since the Spiegeltent can fill up and you may be standing briefly before the show.
Absinthe has been running nightly since 2011 — show cancellations are extraordinarily rare. The production has one of the strongest track records of any live show in Las Vegas. Tickets are generally non-refundable once purchased, which is standard for live Las Vegas entertainment. In the very unlikely event the show is cancelled on your date, you will be notified and refund options will be provided. Review the full terms and conditions at checkout before purchasing.
