🌵 Spike Wants to Know
Have you seen Mat Franco before?

The interactive format means the show is literally different every night — who ends up in the bits changes the whole thing. If you've been before and the crowd was lively, come back on a weekend. If they were quiet, try a Friday. The material rotates too. Preferred section front or rear is still the right call.

Mat Franco won America's Got Talent Season 9 — the first magician in the show's history to take the title. His Las Vegas show is called Magic Reinvented Nightly, and the name is accurate: the audience participation component means no two shows are identical. Ninety minutes of close-up and interactive magic at his own dedicated theater inside The LINQ Hotel, right in the center of the Strip. $57 a ticket.

About Mat Franco

Mat Franco is from North Providence, Rhode Island, and has been performing magic since he was a kid. In 2014 he won Season 9 of America's Got Talent — the first magician ever to win the competition in nine seasons of the show. The performance that won it was a close-up card routine done in front of a panel that had seen thousands of acts. It still landed. That's the version of the show you're walking into in Las Vegas, scaled up for a dedicated theater that was built for him at The LINQ Hotel right in the center of the Strip.

🌵
Spike's Take $57 for 90 minutes in a theater named after the guy performing in it. The interactive format is the real differentiator here — this show is genuinely different every night because the audience participation changes everything. Both Preferred sections (front and rear) are the pick. You get the immersion of the main floor without the premium price, and the show reaches both sections equally.

The show is called Magic Reinvented Nightly because the audience interaction makes it literally true — who ends up in the bits, what they say, how they react shapes the performance differently each time. Mat's style is casual and warm compared to some of the other magic shows on the Strip. It plays big for families and date nights alike. He's been headlining at The LINQ since 2015, which in Las Vegas terms makes this a proven institution. The theater's layout runs from Premium at the front through two bands of Preferred and on back to Reserved and Table sections — the room has good sight lines throughout.

What to Expect

🎩 Actually Interactive
Mat Franco's show has more genuine audience participation than almost any other magic show in Las Vegas. The interactions aren't planted — real guests end up inside the tricks, and their responses shape how each bit runs. The show is called Magic Reinvented Nightly because it literally is: what happens on stage depends on who's in the room that night.
🏆 First Magician to Win AGT
Nine seasons of America's Got Talent ran before a magician won. Mat Franco ended that in Season 9 with a close-up card routine that landed in front of one of the largest television audiences in the country. The AGT win gave him Las Vegas. The Las Vegas show gave him a theater with his name on it. The progression makes sense once you see the act.
😄 Warm, Casual, Family-Ready
Mat Franco's stage presence is casual and warm — he's not a high-concept performer and he doesn't pretend to be. The show works for families with kids who are old enough to follow along, for date nights, for groups. It doesn't require any prior interest in magic to enjoy it. That accessibility is part of why the show has been running at The LINQ since 2015.
📷 Check Before You Shoot
Still photos may be welcome at this show — check with your usher before pulling out a camera. Flash photography is strictly prohibited. Video recording is not permitted. If an usher asks you to stop, put the phone away. This is enforced.

⭐ Sidekick Pick
The front arc closest to the stage — the most immersive seating in the Mat Franco Theater. Premium includes the Boothes section at the inner edge of this zone. At this proximity you're very likely to be directly involved in the show's interactive elements. Mat Franco performs facing the audience, and Premium guests have the highest chance of being pulled into a routine. If audience participation is what you're after, this is where to sit.
The first band of Preferred seating behind Premium — rows GG through JJ across the main floor arc. The Sidekick Pick. Close enough to the stage to watch the close-up magic clearly and stay fully inside the show's interactive energy, without the full premium price. The sight lines are excellent from this section, and Mat Franco regularly reaches into both Preferred bands during the performance. This is where Spike sits.
The second band of Preferred seating, rows LL through NN — slightly further from the stage than Preferred Front but still solidly inside the main floor arc. Also a Sidekick Pick. The show reaches this section regularly. Good sight lines throughout, and a useful option if front Preferred seats aren't available at your preferred price. Spike recommends both Preferred bands equally — pick whichever is available.
The outer rear arc — the furthest main-floor seats from the stage. The theater's fan-shaped design keeps Reserved connected to the performance, but the distance from Mat Franco's close-up work is more noticeable here than in the Preferred sections. A legitimate seat for the show; moving closer toward Preferred is worthwhile if available.
Table seating sections running along the left and right sides of the theater at various depths. A different experience from the main floor arc — you're seated at a table rather than in theater chairs, which can be more comfortable for groups. The angled sight lines from the sides differ from the center sections. Table seating works well for groups who want a more lounge-style experience.

Frequently Asked

Very. Mat Franco's show involves more genuine audience participation than almost any other magic show in Las Vegas. Guests end up directly inside tricks — holding cards, participating in routines, becoming part of the performance. The show is called Magic Reinvented Nightly because what happens depends on who's in the room that night. If being called on stage or involved in a trick sounds fun to you, sit in Premium or Preferred Front and make eye contact.
Both Preferred sections are the Sidekick Pick — front and rear. Close enough to the stage to watch the close-up magic clearly and stay inside the interactive energy without the full premium price. If you want the maximum chance of being involved in the show directly, sit in Premium or front Preferred. If you prefer to watch from a slightly more relaxed distance, rear Preferred is the call. Table sections on the sides work well for groups wanting a lounge-style setup.
Yes — ages 5 and older are welcome and the show is one of the more reliably family-friendly magic productions on the Strip. No adult content, no strong language. The interactive format is particularly engaging for kids who get called into a trick. Everyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and everyone needs their own ticket — no lap sitting.
