What is Absinthe?

Absinthe is an adults-only Las Vegas circus production inside the Spiegeltent at Caesars Palace, built around acrobatics, specialty acts and sharp comedy in a deliberately intimate room. Instead of putting the performers far across a traditional theater, the format keeps the action close and gives the show a scrappier cabaret feel.

The show moves between high-skill circus acts and comedy hosted by the Gazillionaire, so it plays very differently from a family-oriented Cirque production. The draw is the combination: serious acrobatics, adult humor and a small-room atmosphere packed into a fast-moving Vegas spectacular.

Absinthe is a circular tent show featuring world-class circus acts — aerialists, acrobats, roller skate artists, contortionists, and strength performers — hosted by a character called the Gazillionaire. The Gazillionaire delivers sharp adult comedy between acts, earning the show its 18+ classification. It's not a traditional circus and it's not a comedy club: it's something uniquely its own, which is why it has been the most acclaimed show in Las Vegas for over a decade.
How strictly is the 18+ age requirement enforced?
Very strictly. Everyone entering the Spiegeltent must be at least 18 years old and must have a ticket — no exceptions. Bring a valid government-issued ID. Guests who appear under 30 should expect to show ID at the door. Do not purchase tickets for a group that includes anyone under 18 — they will not be admitted.
Where exactly is the Spiegeltent?
The Spiegeltent is located on the Roman Plaza at Caesars Palace — the outdoor plaza area between the main Caesars Palace entrance and the Las Vegas Strip. It's a distinctive circular tent structure that's hard to miss once you're on the plaza. Seating opens 30 minutes before showtime — plan to arrive at Caesars 30 minutes early to park, navigate the resort, and get to the tent.
Can I bring my phone or take photos?
Cameras and audio/video recording devices are not permitted during the performance. This is one of Spike's firmest recommendations: put the phone away for these 80 minutes. The acts in Absinthe are the kind that lose something when you're watching through a screen. You won't want the footage later as much as you'll want the memory of actually being there.
Is there a dress code?
No official dress code. Absinthe draws a mix of guests in everything from casual vacation wear to dressed-up date-night attire. The show itself has an elevated, theatrical feel that makes people want to dress for the occasion — but you won't be turned away in jeans.
