🌵 Spike Wants to Know
Have you seen Piff The Magic Dragon before?

You already know this isn't a normal magic show. The tricks are genuinely sharp, the deadpan delivery still lands, and Mr. Piffles somehow keeps upstaging the guy in the dragon suit. If you're bringing someone new, don't spoil the finale — half the fun is watching their face when the chihuahua does the impossible. Front Tables or the Sweet Spot rows are worth it if you want to be part of the crowd work.

Piff The Magic Dragon is a genuinely great magic show wearing a deliberately ridiculous costume: a man in a green dragon suit, delivering sarcastic one-liners between sharp, well-built illusions, alongside Mr. Piffles — the world's only magic-performing chihuahua. It's earned "Magician of the Year" honors from the Academy of Magical Arts and praise from Penn & Teller, plus over 12 million YouTube views along the way. 75 minutes, ages 8+, at the Flamingo Showroom. Book the Sweet Spot rows — Piff works the room, and proximity is part of the show.

About Piff The Magic Dragon

A man in a green dragon costume, a chihuahua in a matching cape, and some of the sharpest sleight-of-hand on the Strip — Piff The Magic Dragon shouldn't work as well as it does.

Piff's routines have been praised by Penn & Teller and have racked up more than 12 million views on YouTube, and the act now has a permanent home at the Flamingo Showroom on the Las Vegas Strip. The premise is simple: real, accomplished magic delivered with total deadpan contempt, wrapped in a dragon suit that Piff clearly finds as absurd as the audience does. His scene-stealing sidekick, Mr. Piffles, is billed as the world's only magic-performing chihuahua — and somehow lives up to the title.

🌵
Spike's Take $53 for a show this sharp is a great deal — regular price is $86, so that's 38% off. Piff was named Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts, which is essentially the Oscars of magic, and it shows in the craft under all the sarcasm. Grab a seat in the Sweet Spot rows — Piff works the crowd, and being close is half the fun.

The Flamingo Showroom seats guests across Front Tables, General Reserved rows, and a back Mix section. The show runs six nights a week — every night except Friday — at 7:00 PM. Guests must be 8 or older, and anyone 18 or under needs an adult with them.

Inside Flamingo Las Vegas
The Flamingo Showroom is a short walk from the main casino floor — follow the signage once you're inside the resort.

What to Expect

🐉 Deadpan Comedy Magic
Piff's stage persona is bone-dry sarcasm layered over real, well-built illusions — the joke is that he's clearly annoyed to be performing magic in a dragon costume, and the contrast is what makes it funny. If you've seen straight-faced magic shows, this is the version that also roasts the audience.
🐕 Mr. Piffles, the Magic Chihuahua
Billed as the world's only magic-performing chihuahua, Mr. Piffles gets his own moments in the spotlight — and routinely steals the show from the guy in the dragon suit. Dog lovers and skeptics both end up won over.
🏆 Award-Winning Craft
Piff was named Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts — the closest thing magic has to an Oscar — and the tricks underneath the comedy hold up to real scrutiny. Praised by Penn & Teller, with over 12 million YouTube views behind the act.
🎭 Crowd Work That Actually Lands
Piff pulls audience members into bits regularly, and the front sections of the Flamingo Showroom are squarely in his sightline. If you don't want to be picked on, sit further back — if you do, the Sweet Spot rows are where it happens.

Cabaret-style tables right at the stage. This is as close as the room gets — great if you want to be part of the crowd work and don't mind Piff singling you out. Priced at a premium over General Reserved.
Rows 5 through 33 on both the A and B sides — the five rows of theater seating directly behind the Front Tables. This is the Sweet Spot: close enough to be part of the show without paying Front Table prices, with a clean, direct view of the stage. This is where Spike sits.
Rows 34 through 57 on the A and B sides, plus the center Mix section at the very back. Budget-friendly and still a full view of the stage, though you're further from the action and less likely to be pulled into a bit — which some guests actually prefer.

Frequently Asked

The Flamingo Showroom is inside Flamingo Las Vegas, on the Strip at 3555 S Las Vegas Blvd. Follow the showroom signage from the main casino floor — it's a short, well-marked walk from the lobby. Plan to arrive about 30–45 minutes before showtime to find parking, get through the casino floor, and get seated before the lights go down.
Yes, with one caveat: the show is billed for guests 8 and older, and anyone 18 or under must be accompanied by an adult. The magic and the magic-performing chihuahua play great for kids, but Piff's stage persona is dry, sarcastic, and occasionally sprinkled with adult-leaning one-liners — think a comedy club sense of humor wrapped around a genuinely great magic show. Most families with older kids and teens have a great time; it's not a show for toddlers.
Front Tables are cabaret-style seating right at the stage — closest to the action and to Mr. Piffles. Behind that is General Reserved, which covers the first several rows of theater seating (the Sweet Spot) before the room fans out toward the back and the center Mix section. Piff works the room and involves the crowd, so proximity genuinely changes the experience — the Sweet Spot rows put you close enough to be part of the show without paying front-table prices.
Doors typically open about 30 minutes before showtime. Plan to arrive at Flamingo Las Vegas 45 minutes early — that covers parking or rideshare drop-off, the walk through the casino to the showroom, and getting settled before the 7:00 PM start. Piff opens strong, and latecomers get noticed in a room this size.
Still photos may be allowed as long as they aren't distracting — please check with your usher on the way in. No flash photography.
Piff The Magic Dragon runs a consistent weekly schedule at the Flamingo Showroom, and outright cancellations are rare. Tickets are generally non-refundable once purchased, which is standard for live Las Vegas entertainment. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, you'll be notified with refund options provided.
